I’m currently debating if I call and attempt to get a refund, I paid $92 for a soak off and solid color dip powder. The most I have EVER paid for nails and I am beyond disappointed in the quality. Around the edges there are many chips, I have only had these nails for 4 days and they were there when I was leaving the salon. On top of that the top coat is horrible, it already is gone in some places and there are many scratches not pictured. My cuticles were also cut and caused me bleeding, also not pictured, which is now causing my skin to be peeling.

I've been coming to Indigo off and on (more regularly now) for 8 months now, I know this because I had to delete my old 5 star review to post this new review.

Madison and Bee are fantastic, they always do fabulous work, and I've been happy every time I come in.

BUT this week I saw Ka, and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. She left me lopsided and cut.

For a background, I have to go in weekly to biweekly to have my nails filled and repaired as I do a lot with my hands because I have two kids under 5, so I'm used to a nail popping off between fills.

So this week one broke while playing with my kids and husband outside, I moved my nail fill and repair to Tuesday night instead of Saturday when I've been coming in.

Bee and Madison were both fully booked when I was able to come in, so I had to book with Ka. I listened to Ka speak with the tech next to her for most of my appointment, which is FINE that's not even a worry we all have to gossip with our work friends. But what matters to me is how she kept cutting into my fingers with the machines tips when she was filing the nails, she also left my right have longer than my left, which just looks silly.

I'm just upset and disappointed at this point because I love coming into Indigo, I recommend them to everyone I talk to, and I love my usual techs and their work.

I’ve been to this salon 3 times. I’ve had 3 different techs. The first 2 visits were good. Professional staff, dip manicure and dip manicure/pedicure were well done. This last time I got a dip manicure. Initially it started out ok. Dip removal was done a little quicker than I’m used to (very little soaking time, LOTS of sanding to get it off…) but regardless my nails were ready for a fresh coat. My nails were trimmed and shaped nicely. The problem was that the tech was way too aggressive with the cuticle care. I think it’s become more common now to ‘sand down’ cuticles instead of soaking and carefully sanding/trimming. Because of this, one of my cuticles was cut and bled and there is general redness around it as well as all of my other cuticles. In addition, the powder was poorly ‘dipped’ and my nails have uneven ridges on them. Most of them don’t feel smooth and glossy the way they should having just been done. When asked if I liked my nails, I said they were ok only because I didn’t want nearby customers to hear. Obviously, posting this will alert even more customers but it’s fair that people are aware of my experience. Of note, the customer sitting to my right left the salon with the most beautiful looking red nails! I’m jealous.

I had gotten a manicure with full acrylics and was left with nothing close to what I wanted. I was also left with all 10 fingers cut open and bleeding. Very painful, and disheartening experience. I had Mai yia and would not recommend the services I received. My pedicure was also not the most enjoyable and painful as well. Would not recommend going here.

I went here for the first time to get acrylics taken off and get dip powder manicure. I love how my nails turned out! everyone there was very friendly, the place was clean and was beautiful, so many plants everywhere.
The only negative part of my experience was that I have a few cuts on my cuticles and the skin around my nails is very thin and still tender. She trimmed my cuticles very hard with the cuticle cutter, and then went over it with her power hand tool as well, which resulted in cuts on a few of my fingers. She got through one hand and I asked her to not even clean up the sides of my nails on my other hand because it hurt and there was already cuts from the cuticle cutter.
Outside of this I had a good experience and I will be back! Just booking with someone else.

The best nail salon I have ever been to. The spa pedicure came with a 10 minute massage with hot rocks! Extremely professional and very detailed. Worth every penny! The salon also had a beautiful and calming atmosphere.

Edited to add: The owner finally reached out and essentially accused my boyfriend of lying about his big toe bleeding throughout the service after “reviewing footage”. They said the tech noted he had a “large hangnail on his left toe that was clipped with no visible blood exposure but the skin appeared open.” Yes, opened and bleeding. That’s what happens when too much is removed from the nail/cuticle/skin. I truly wanted to return because of how much I enjoyed my pedicure but obviously not once I found out this all went down- we wouldn’t have spent almost $175 between services and tips to make up an elaborate story for a refund. I’m legitimately concerned due to the fact ruthless infections happen because of these scenarios. Accidents happen, we’re human. But to not even take the slightest responsibility is crazy.

Since the owner refuses to email me back despite multiple calls to have them please respond, I hope this gets their attention as well as their clients.

My boyfriend and I came in for our first time on Saturday, May 11th for pedicures. Although mine was great, my boyfriend’s was not. I noticed during the cuticle removal his tech was being a bit aggressive but since he didn’t say anything, I figured he was fine. As we walked out to the car, he said his toe really hurt and was bleeding the entire time. When the tech was doing the cuticles, she ripped the skin down and around his big toe. The tech didn’t acknowledge it whatsoever. Just kept putting her contaminated gloves on everything. The tech also painted over his toe nail while it was actively bleeding and put the polish back on the cart, so, that tells me there’s a contaminated bottle of polish floating around.

Again, I had no idea this was happening during the service. Mine was done before him so they let me sit in the manicure chairs across from him. Being a licensed aesthetician as well as many years working in healthcare, I know the general rule of thumb when dealing with blood or other bodily fluid contaminations. Nothing on the cart was wiped down appropriately considering their gloves had clearly touched blood then touched everything else, and the bowl was also not disinfected correctly for a blood contamination. They quickly scrubbed it out and got the next client in.

Bloodborne infections really are no joke and for the owner to not take this seriously, or trying to avoid the problem altogether, is HIGHLY concerning. I feel so disgusted and we’ve been keeping a close eye on his toe and cleaning it frequently because who knows what proper or improper sanitation was done before he put his opened, bleeding wound in the bowl.

Please don’t take this lightly and consider this review before booking an appointment for your own safety.
